QS/1 Data Systems announces its latest software product for pharmacies, NRx pharmacy management system. This new Windows Graphical User Interface (GUI) software offers a pharmacy solution that is both easy-to-learn and easy-to-use.
NRx is built on the foundation of QS/1’s market-leading RxCare Plus software for the independent pharmacy market. It provides central management to support the chain pharmacy market while offering easy navigation for quick prescription filling.
Scanned prescriptions, signatures and pill/drug images are now more easily captured and stored with the patient records due to the graphical nature of NRx. New and improved keyboard or mouse navigation provides many shortcuts and allows new employees to quickly and easily fill prescriptions. A visual alert is also provided when required fields are overlooked to ensure an accurate prescription filling process.
“To be successful in today’s competitive environment,” says Dan Gerst, QS/1’s Manager of Marketing Operations, “pharmacists need to be able to efficiently and accurately fill prescriptions in the most cost-effective way possible.”
QS/1 also offers several additional modules to meet the unique needs of various pharmacy types. Larger pharmacies with multiple locations will appreciate the fully integrated Central Management System, Central Profiles, Central Workflow and Store Workflow Modules.
The Central Management System provides central control of drug files, third party files and pricing, and it allows for changes to be sent to the individual pharmacies for consistency among all locations. Central Management provides a wide array of reports which can be set up to run and print according to your business schedule.
The Central Profiles Module allows pharmacies under common ownership to add patients from other pharmacy locations and easily transfer prescriptions between pharmacies. Interaction checking can also be centralized, giving patients added comfort in knowing that their prescription has been checked for harmful effects caused by prescriptions filled at other pharmacy locations. “Several large chains advertise their ability to provide central profiles,” says Rich Muller, QS/1 National Sales Manager for Chain. “The QS/1 Central Profiles Module allows small chains and multi-location independent pharmacies to compete on the same level.”
The Central Workflow Module allows an individual in the central office to monitor the Store Workflow levels to support them when volumes start to build.
The Store Workflow Module supports pharmacies with multiple employees to provide more effective resource utilization. Pharmacy tasks can be delegated to specific employees for a more accurate and efficient process.
QS/1, a leading provider for pharmacy software, serves independent pharmacies, drug/food chain pharmacies, institutional pharmacies, hospital outpatient pharmacies and university health center pharmacies. QS/1 is a division of the J M Smith Corporation, the third largest privately held company in South Carolina. For additional information, visit the QS/1 web site at www.qs1.com.
