27 Leading Executives Nominated for the Information Security Executive of the Year Southeast Award 2005

GSATC & Greenville Chamber network senior IT professionals in new IT Leadership Council.

Greenville, SC – January 27, 2005- The GSA Technology Council and the Greater Greenville Chamber of Commerce have jointly formed a professional networking group aimed at bringing senior level IT professionals together in a quarterly forum. The group will provide facilitated discussion and professional networking opportunities to the group as they come together to discuss the strategic issues facing technology organizations in the upstate.

“Outsourcing, Security, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, IT as a commodity and Strategic Alignment are the CIO hot buttons” says Philip Yanov, Executive Director of the GSATC. “We want to bring these top level professionals together to address their issues and help them be successful” continues Greenville Chamber President, Ben Haskew.

The group’s steering committee, which first met in 4th quarter 2004, is formed of top level IT professionals from Nuvox Communications, Kemet Corporation, Furman University, Michelin, Rockwell Automation Power Systems Division, Fluor Daniel, and Ameco.
