Skype reaches 100 million registered users

Skype, the global Internet communications company, today reached a major milestone when it passed 100 million registered users. The company achieved this milestone in just two-and-a-half year’s time, and has nearly doubled in size from September 2005 when it had 54 million registered users. Skype makes it easy for anyone with an Internet connection to make free, unlimited worldwide voice and video calls.

Salute to Manufacturing 2006 Awards Luncheon is May 17

Don’t forget about the upcoming Salute to Manufacturing awards luncheon to be held at the Palmetto Expo Center along with the 2006 AM-EXPO show. The Salute to Manufacturing Program was developed to recognize and promote the importance of manufacturing and its correlation to the creation of wealth, living standards and job creation in the Palmetto State.  The mission is to elevate the level of understanding and appreciation about how manufacturing is related to every sector of South Carolina’s economy.

Scott Millwood: Scott Millwood


Scott Millwood is Founder and President of Customer Effective, a nationally recognized Microsoft Gold Certified Partner specializing in Customer Relationship Management. Prior to Customer Effective Scott was an executive with Datastream Systems where he helped grow revenue from $15 million to over $120 million in six years. Previously he was with Harbinger Corporation, a pioneer in electronic commerce and PowerCerv, an e-business applications provider. Scott graduated from Clemson University with a BS in Economics and Georgia State University with a Masters in Business Administration.

Scott Millwood started Customer Effective in 2003 when Microsoft CRM version 1.0 was in beta, the economy was in recession and the US was invading Iraq… These are hardly the perfect conditions for a start up!
