Scott Millwood is Founder and President of Customer Effective, a nationally recognized Microsoft Gold Certified Partner specializing in Customer Relationship Management. Prior to Customer Effective Scott was an executive with Datastream Systems where he helped grow revenue from $15 million to over $120 million in six years. Previously he was with Harbinger Corporation, a pioneer in electronic commerce and PowerCerv, an e-business applications provider. Scott graduated from Clemson University with a BS in Economics and Georgia State University with a Masters in Business Administration.
Scott Millwood started Customer Effective in 2003 when Microsoft CRM version 1.0 was in beta, the economy was in recession and the US was invading Iraq… These are hardly the perfect conditions for a start up! Still, Customer Effective has survived and grown. What were the key ingredients in boot strapping the company and what can aspiring entrepreneurs learn from his adventures?
