S.C. Unemployment High but Dropping

South Carolina has the seventh-highest unemployment rate in the U.S., but according to new statistics the state is climbing out of the hole fast.

The South Carolina Employment Security Commission’s unemployment statistics for May indicate that unemployment dropped almost a half percent to 5.4 from last month’s 5.8 percent.
