Rosenfeld Einstein Ranked #3 on Best Places to Work in SC

Insurance brokerage and consulting firm Rosenfeld Einstein, one of the Southeast’s fastest-growing insurance organizations, has been ranked #3 on South Carolina’s 20 Best Places to Work list, compiled by SC BIZ magazine and Best Companies Group of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

The Best Places to Work in South Carolina program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the top employers in South Carolina, benefiting the state’s economy, its workforce and businesses. The list is made up of 20 companies split into two groups: 12 small/medium sized companies (fewer than 250 employees) and 8 large sized companies (more than 250 employees).

Rosenfeld Einstein was named #3 in this year’s Best Places to Work in South Carolina in the small/medium company category – among the highest rank attained by any Upstate firm. Also ranking among the top firms from the Upstate were accounting firm Elliott Davis, placement company FGP International, Goodwill Industries of the Upstate, and environmental engineering company SynTerra Corporation.

“A diverse array of companies make up the Best Places to Work in South Carolina list,” said Nate Einstein, Chairman of the Board of Rosenfeld Einstein. “However, all companies shared one common element – a dedication to employee growth and satisfaction that reflects the exceptional quality of life found across South Carolina. We are extremely proud to have been recognized on this list.”

Recognized companies represent a snapshot of the diverse and thriving nature of South Carolina’s economy – an economy that balances traditional manufacturing and service organizations with innovative technology and “new economy” startups.

The survey and award program to identify the best places of employment in South Carolina was developed with 3 primary goals in mind:

To develop definitive information to help existing companies in South Carolina retain their workforce,
To promote South Carolina’s best employment opportunities to attract new workers, and
To distinguish businesses in the state which attract and retain talented workers.

The initiative was developed and organized by SC BIZ magazine, the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, the Society for Human Resource Management (South Carolina State Council), SCJobnetwork.com and Best Companies Group.

To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:
- Be a for-profit or not-for-profit business or government entity;
- Be a publicly or privately held business;
- Have a facility in South Carolina;
- Must be in business a minimum of 1 year;
- Have at least 25 employees in South Carolina.

Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in South Carolina. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics.

The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in South Carolina with assistance from ModernThink LLC, who analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final rankings. A minimum of 64% of company employees were required to complete the survey for the company to be evaluated.

“We’ve long taken pride in making Rosenfeld Einstein a place where our team wants to work, wants to stay at and feels a part of,” noted Einstein. “With this recognition, it appears that the environment we seek to create is being realized. We’re very proud of all of our associates, who really make this happen, and of this recognition of the firm.”
