“An emerging coalition of companies and universities is planning an annual conference on advanced materials in the Upstate as a first step in trying to develop a world-renown advanced materials industry, a corporate scientist announced Wednesday.
Philip Wilson, who leads advanced materials research for Spartanburg-based Milliken & Co., the textiles and chemicals company, said the conference should take place within the year, maybe at Clemson University.
He spoke at the Carolina First Center, where the annual InnoVenture conference continued for a second and final day.”
