Columbia, SC — Stephen Leicht, chief operating officer of Collexis Holdings, Inc. a developer of high definition search and knowledge discovery software, will speak at the 30th annual meeting for the Society for Scholarly Publishing in Boston, Mass. May 28-30. Leicht is slated to be a part of a pre-meeting seminar that will educate attendees about how semantic tagging makes content more discoverable, useful and valuable through a demonstration of Collexis’ automated semantic, thesaurus-based search and discovery technology.
“It’s exciting to be able to demonstrate what can be accomplished with today’s most advanced data mining and semantic technologies; the ability to map relationships between ideas and people across large volumes of documents is evolving at an enormous speed,” commented Leicht. “We at Collexis firmly believe that this technology will not only further facilitate knowledge discovery, but will also increase research capabilities on a global scale.”
The three-day, national conference, entitled Empires of the Mind: Inventing the Future of Scholarly Publishing, will educate industry professionals on a plethora of topics relating to all aspects of scholarly publishing in the fields of medicine, and science and technology, attracting professionals from all areas of the field—from printers and publishers to technical service providers, librarians and editors.
