The Greenville Literacy Association (GLA) will host the seventh annual Really Good, Really Big, Really Cheap Book Sale on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at McAlister Square (225 S. Pleasantburg Drive) from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm. Volunteers are needed to help with set-up and sale day responsibilities.
This is a great job for families, friends, groups, teams or service hours!
Set-Up–This job occurs just prior to the Book Sale on Thursday August 14th the shifts are 10:30-1:00 / 1:00-5:00 / 5:00-8:00 & Friday August 15 the shifts are 8:30-12:30 / 12:30-4:30.
Sale Day–This job occurs on August 16, 2008, the day of the Book Sale. Shifts are 8:00-12:00 / 12:00-4:00.
Take-Down–This job occurs on August 16, 2008 after the Book Sale. Volunteers will arrive at 3:45pm to pack-up the leftover books and should be completed by 6pm, depending on the number of volunteers and materials. (Shift is 3:45-6:00)
This is a great activity for social groups, alumni chapters, and youth/sport teams.

The 2007 book sale attracted 15,000 shoppers who purchased 80,000 books to raise $115,000 to promote literacy in the upstate.
