Gnoso, a software development company in Greenville, has announced that Log for Life has entered a public beta. Log for Life is an online diabetes logbook that allows diabetics to enter information such as their glucose levels, medication, carbohydrate intake, and exercise details directly on the website or by email, text message, or iPhone.
The idea of Log for Life came about when Gnoso’s designer, Ethan Mullis, who has been living with diabetes for 11 years, was looking for a simple way of keeping track of his own diabetes. Log for Life is focused on helping diabetics easily gather their correct information to take action toward living a longer and healthier life.
The beta release will give users the ability to test drive the features of Log for Life including:Â
-
The ability to email or text numbers directly into Log for Life using any e-mail account or cell phone. A Special interface has also been developed specifically for iPhone users.
-
The option to share log with others including doctors, parents, caregivers, etc.
-
An analysis feature allowing users to make sense of their numbers with quick snapshots of their logging history.
Log for Life has also recently published a Facebook page. Gnoso hopes that through utilizing the popular social networking site they will be able to get valuable feedback on how the beta Log for Life is working.  Further, Facebook provides Log for Life with the opportunity to target other potential users and spread awareness of the site to a larger community.
