Web for Good, the nonprofit foundation created by Worthwhile, a digital marketing firm based in Greenville, SC., is pleased to announce the launch of their first pro bono project, a website for A Child’s Haven.
Formed in 2011 as a 501(c)(3) organization, Web for Good supports ministries and nonprofits by providing competitive access to Worthwhile’s services, for free. A Child’s Haven works with young, at-risk children throughout Greenville, SC, and the organization was selected last year as the first Web for Good client.
The new website allows A Child’s Haven to meet their mission more effectively, to transform the lives of young children who have experienced development delays or behavioral challenges. A striking design incorporates crayon colors and watercolor edges, while focusing on the personal involvement that A Child’s Haven team members have in the lives of children and their families.
Since the nonprofit offers far more than a day care, the site also gives a clearer presentation of the group’s mission, and even allows website users to take an insightful virtual tour of the classroom experience. A Child’s Haven has different kinds of relationships, so the website dedicates individual pages to volunteers, families, and the community. Donation is much more prominent and easier, and allows donors to specify where their gift will go.
According to Arthur Avitable, the Executive Director of A Child’s Haven, “Throughout this process, my thinking evolved. Talking things out with the Worthwhile team has really helped us arrive at a better end product. Every time I meet with Worthwhile, they exceed my expectations.”
The next round of Web for Good applications has recently closed at the Web for Good website, and a new project will be announced in August. Applications, however, are always welcome.
