TSAChoice Offers Eat & Educate Seminar September 18

Venture Capital Investors Featured at the InnoMobility Conference

Green Cloud Technologies Expands in Lowcountry

Green CloudGreen Cloud Technologies, a Cloud-based technology solutions provider headquartered in Greenville, SC has opened a new office in the Charleston, SC area. This location will market Green Cloud’s portfolio of cloud-based IT solutions to partners and businesses along the Myrtle Beach-Charleston-Savannah corridor. The office, located at 1147 Pleasant Oaks Drive in Mt. Pleasant, opened in early July.

Green Cloud, which recently raised an additional $2.75mm for market expansion, offers managed IT and telecom services including virtual server, virtual PBX and disaster recovery products. “In business today, every company needs a plan for continuing their operations during a natural disaster or hardware failure. It’s even more critical in coastal markets like Charleston and Savannah,” says Randy Friedberg, vice president of sales. “Green Cloud’s core products provide an affordable business continuity plan for small and medium-sized companies.”

Since opening in July, Green Cloud has signed distribution partners in both Charleston and Savannah and has recently completed its second customer installation in the area. “Green Cloud wants to become more than just a customer’s technology solutions provider,” says Friedberg. “We want to establish a true partnership with our customers and earn their business every day…basic concepts that have been missing from the communications industry for a long time.”

PMI Palmetto Chapter Begins Agile Courses September 8

PMI Palmetto ChapterThe Palmetto Chapter’s Agile Project Management Fundamentals Course will begin on Saturday, September 8, 2012. The core curriculum for the course will be ACP Exam Prep curriculum developed by GR8PM. This material was selected by the Palmetto Chapter because this company is one of the forerunners in providing material specifically to prepare candidates for the ACP exam.

Class dates are September 8, 15, and 22, 2012.

The course will be taught by two local Palmetto Chapter project managers who are approved by the Palmetto Board of Directors, and each class will run from 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM. The class size is limited to a maximum of six students.

Asheville/Greenville Technology Integrator TSAChoice Celebrates 30th Anniversary in 2012

TSAChoiceTechnology integrator TSAChoice, Inc., with offices in Asheville, NC and Greenville, SC, is proud to announce that August 2012 marks the company’s 30th anniversary of serving the region with turnkey office technology. Grown to a staff of more than 60 technology professionals, TSAChoice provides its customers a single source for a full spectrum of voice, data, audio/visual, security, and cabling solutions.

TSAChoice began in 1982 as Telephone Systems of Asheville, a division of MB Haynes Corporation, and quickly became the dominant telephone equipment, data wiring and fiber optics provider in the area. In 1995 TSAChoice’s original management team of Bill Arledge, Jeff Lowdermilk, and Dan Higgins bought the company from MB Haynes and continue to lead the company.

In 1999 TSAChoice purchased Choice Computer Center, a local network services company, and changed its name to TSAChoice, mirroring the global convergence of the voice and data industries.

In 2007 the company began providing conference room automation and video-conferencing for businesses, and automation and entertainment systems for homes. More recently TSAChoice earned its North Carolina security license, allowing them to offer customers card-access, video surveillance and alarm systems, and other security applications.

2011 marked TSAChoice’s expansion into upstate South Carolina, serving businesses in Greenville, Greer, Spartanburg, Easley, Anderson, Woodruff, and surrounding areas, from its Greenville, SC office.

In 2012 TSAChoice became a launch sponsor of the monthly networking event, Tech After Five in Asheville. Tech After Five is a monthly sponsor-supported, professional networking event for tech professionals and tech entrepreneurs, and currently hosts monthly events in Greenville, Columbia, and Charleston, South Carolina and Charlotte, North Carolina.
