Merge, a Greenville-based web development firm is proud to announce the addition of two new employees to its team.

Scott McGuire was hired as Merge’s Creative Director. Scott is an extremely talented designer and also holds a certificate as an advanced ColdFusion programmer.

Erin Oliver joined Merge to assist the firm in its sales and marketing efforts.

AssetPoint, a leading Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solution provider, announced that due to a significant increase in opportunities in the markets we serve  the company has promoted one employee and added 3 employees to its growing staff.

Ms. Kay Jenkins was promoted to Managing Partner responsible for Applied Technologies within AssetPoint. She is a long term AssetPoint employee and has been managing its growing software development staff and overseeing TabWare Online, AssetPoint’s Software as a Service offering. Ms. Jenkins holds a BS Degree in Computer Science from the College of Charleston.

Ms. Cindy Williams has joined AssetPoint as a software development specialist.  She has over 15 years experience in software development and holds a BS Degree in Computer Science from Furman University.

Ms. Amanda Posey has joined AssetPoint as a software development specialist.  She is a Microsoft Certified Professional and has over 7 years experience in software development.  She also holds Information Technology Certification from the Rushing Center for Advanced Technology.  Ms. Posey holds a BA Degree in Psychology from Furman University.

Mr. Kin Cook has joined AssetPoint as a Senior Maintenance Engineer.  He  has over 25 years experience providing contract and consulting services in industrial maintenance.  Mr. Cook holds a B.S. Degree in Industrial Management from Clemson University.  He also holds a Level 4 Maintenance Planner Certification and is an ISO Auditor in addition to his qualifications as a NC & SC Unlimited General Contractor.

Caroline Cheves will serve as a Client Project Manager at North Gate Labs. In this newly created position Caroline will assist both the clients and the staff for Web Sales Tool in order to keep projects on track and fast paced as the company continues to grow.

A graduate of The University of the South in Sewanee, Cheves has spent the last 7 years in Atlanta were she worked as a Project Manager. She has returned to Greenville, SC where she volunteers with the local Blood Connection and other area non-profit groups.

Acumen has hired Jeff Finley as a Solutions Consultant and Cliff Huxster as Team Lead Engineer. Finley will focus on delivering comprehensive IT solutions to small- and medium-sized businesses. Huxster will lead a new engineering team and will be responsible for all aspects of project management, including new installations, migrations, and client service. Both Finley and Huxster will play key roles in helping clients across the Upstate obtain more secure, robust, and scalable networks.

Finley comes to Acumen from Synnex Corporation where he developed and executed reseller programs based on hardware and software-based security solutions. He also served as a sales executive for Cornerstone Communications and Digital-DNS, Inc. and Network Services Division Manager at TPM. Finley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Lander College.

Prior to joining Acumen, Huxster was Network Manager at Heinemann Publishing where he was responsible for all network services and operations for the New Hampshire-based publisher. While at Heinemann, Huxster focused on supporting the Heinemann staff in the publishing of professional development resources for teachers in the primary school K-12 arena. He was promoted through several IT positions, being recognized for significant contributions in supporting Heinemann’s rapid growth. Huxster holds a degree in Electronics Engineering, two MCSEs, and a current CCNA certification.

Ryan Owens, founder and president of Stratatomic LLC, has recently accepted an advisory position with the School of Drafting and Design Advisory Committee for ITT Technical Institute in Greenville, South Carolina. Serving in this role, Mr. Owens will assist students in their portfolio development and provide real-world insight and industry expertise. Mediasation, a Greenville-based Web development firm, has added a Web designer, project manager, and office manager to support its increasing growth. Nate Hanna has been hired as an interactive Web designer, focusing on graphic, flash, and Web design for all company and client projects. Stephanie Mneimneh joins Mediasation as a project manager, supporting the management of the company?s Web development projects. Tania Nix is Mediasation?s office manager, supporting the firm?s administrative needs and assisting with client training.

Prior to joining Mediasation, Hanna was a Web /software developer for Super Duper Publications and worked at Brains on Fire as an interactive designer. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Furman University.

Mneimneh comes to Mediasation from Southern Galleries, where she was manager and designer. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina Upstate.

Prior to Mediasation, Nix was a claims analyst at Blue Cross Blue Shield. She holds an Associates degree in merchandising from Greenville Technical College.
