Woah. Can we say that the 9th annual Gadgetfest was the best yet? Judge for yourself.
Thanks to Andrew Grafton of the FBI for presenting at the GSATC Learning Lunch this week. He gave a great overview of the state of Cybercrime and also gave us plenty of reason for pause as we consider what we do online. Thanks to Immedion and Palmetto Software Group for being the presenting sponsors for our lunch. Don’t forget to take the Security Survey they are offering. They also brought along a Security Bear (in lieu of a Security Blanket) that we gave away to one of our lucky lunch attendees.
Our audience came up with quite an array of gadgets at this year’s event. We had Do-It-Yourself LED Hula Hoops, wireless charging stations, a Wii hack you can do without soldering, the Samsung Galaxy Android Tablet, several cool cell phones, a shocking party game, robots, and a 3D projector! Thanks to all who made this such a fun event. Take a look at a sample of our photos below (by Dan McCord.) View the complete set on Picasa

On Tuesday and Wednesday this week, Innoventure Southeast came together at the Carolina First Center. Nearly 70 presenters talked about technology, their businesses, and the connections they were making as they create jobs and community. The GSA Technology Council was there with a booth and with Phil Yanov as master of ceremonies for the high tech conclave. We also sent Patrick Greer to capture the two days in pictures.
We had a blast at Wednesday’s Tech After Five. We lit up the event with our own glow sticks and got to hear a bit about Saturday’s upcoming event to draw Google to Greenville. Take a look at who showed up using the very cool CoolIris wall below. Be sure to hit the full screen button. It’ a visual treat.

Here is a link to many of the pictures we have taken at GSATC events over the last year or so. If you like surveying large groups of photos, the Cooliris browser plug in is really worth the effort. It’s very cool.
