The Upstate Women in Technology group of Greenville would like to invite you to join us for lunch on Thursday, January 28th at noon for the topic of “Ergonomics in the Workplace”.

Is your workstation ergonomically correct? Are you working in an optimum environment or are things just not positioned right for you? Join us as we talk about how to make your work environment the best it can be.

Upstate Women In Technology
The Upstate Women in Technology will be hosting Jane Allen, CEO of Smart Work Network, an Upstate Executive Search, Assessment and Career Management firm at the Oct. 22, 2009 Meeting. Jane will speak about “the lost art of conversation” in the work place. As the use of technology increases, many people have lost the “art of conversation.” She will highlight some of the ways that people can have “conversations that matter” and significantly increase their personal and professional success.

UWIT to talk Travel at Thursday Luncheon

The Upstate Women In Technology meet at Cityrange Grill to discuss Unique Travel Opportunities this Summer on Thursday, April 23rd at noon. Cheryl Anraku will advise the group on new passport requirements and will discuss the options, deals and new ideas that are out there for the picking! Cheryl specializes in small ship cruising, which offers alternatives to the big ships and unique opportunities to go to smaller ports. Congressman Bob Inglis to speak to Upstate Women In Technology

The Upstate Women In Technology have invited congressman Bob Inglis to speak on issues of technology employment and immigration at their February lunch meeting. The event is to be held on Friday, February 27 at noon. This is a change in schedule for the group who normally meets on Thursday. Get organanized with the Upstate Women in Technology

The Upstate Women in Technology meet for lunch on Thursday, May 24 for a presentation by Adriel McIntyre, owner of An Orderly Manor. Adriel will present easy and practical ideas for office organization.  She will share clever strategies to maximize workspace, even spaces with limitations or those used for both personal and business projects or utilized as home offices.  Lunch is $10 at City Range Grill. The Upstate Women In Technology have changed dates!  They now meet on the 4th Thursday of the month, except when it conflicts with holidays as in November and December of this year.

Qwest abandons! MCI clear sailing for Verizon

The Upstate Women In Technology meet May 12 for a presentation by Marvin Reems, Director of IT at Bob Jones University. Marvin will deliver a presentation about significant people in the history of computing along with lessons that we can learn from them.
