Upstate Women In Technology presents “Translation Tools for Business and Pleasure” at their November 8 lunch meeting at City Range. Aubrae Wagner, Sr VP Operations & Strategic Development, works with Greenville based EnVeritas Group to develop content for clients worldwide. As part of her work, she deals with client translation needs. At this luncheon, she will cover human translation, computer translation or a hybrid approach; translation vs. localization; multilingual search engine optimization; and translation tools for travelers.

Upstate Women in Technology presents, “Project Management – Tools of the Trade” with Jennie Fowler, Certified Master Project Manager with 20 years of PM experience for its May 24 meeting.
The presentation will serve as a “one stop” PM toolkit that can be used to make life easier. The technique is useful for IT or enterprise project management.

Upstate Women in Technology bring in the new year with “Business Ethics – Tough Decisions, No Problem!” on January 26th at noon. The event will take place at City Range Restaurant for an hour long interactive discussion on business ethics by Linda Gallicchio, Associate Director of Rutland Institute for Ethics at Clemson University.

Upstate Women in Technology present, “SAS 70 Certification – Does Your Company Need One?” Presenter, Daniel Cullen, Senior Manager at Elliott Davis talks about what a SAS 70 certification is all about.
Strong internal controls are important at your organization. Do you know what internal controls are present at the service organizations that house, touch, or even process your critical data? This presentation will discuss the importance of obtaining a SAS 70 from your important service vendors and how to review them. The discussion will also include what types of organizations should be obtaining a SAS 70 and about the changes coming to the SAS 70 audit.
